Birth Doula Training Workshop

I am very excited to announce that Bellies to Babes is hosting a Birth Arts International Birth Doula Training Workshop this summer! 

Do you feel a calling to help women during pregnancy, labor and delivery?If so, then please join us for birth doula training with Birth Arts International!It will change your life! You will see birth, doula work and women's community health in a whole new way.

A birth doula is a non-medical professional who provides women, and their families, emotional and physical support as well as information during pregnancy, labor and birth.

The workshop will be August 9&10. Held in Utica. Taught by Mavis Gewant

This 2 day training is the first step in becoming a birth doula. The workshop will give you all the hands on tools to support women during pregnancy and birth. 

Topics include: labor positions, relaxation, comfort measure tools, rebozo, stages of labor, birth ball techniques, business building, birth art and so much more! Many great videos will also be shown. 

At the workshop students receive the certification manual, and can work at their own pace to complete the assignments to receive their certification.

Mavis Gewant, MA will bring over 20 years of experience as a doula and educator to the training. 

$400 covers the training, manual and all certification fees. Payment plans, partial payments, etc. are accepted.
