Salon Lux Hosting a Cut a Thon to benefit Kids Kicking Cancer

Salon Lux of Shelby Township will be hosting a Cut a Thon on Thursday, June 28th from 2pm-8pm. Haircuts will be discounted and all the proceeds will be donated to Kids Kicking Cancer. Minimum donations will start at only $10 for men and children and $20 for women.

The fundraiser is the first cut-a-thon the salon has held and is hoping to raise as much money as possible for the organization. In May, Salon Lux raised over $2,000 by donating 20% of their retail sales.

“Kids Kicking Cancer has made such a wonderful impact on our community, and as soon as I met some of the amazing children this organization works with, I knew I had to do something to help” said salon owner Lisa Cavallino. Cavallino and her 2 partners, Nicole Jackson and Stacey Demaster are also planning on hosting a gala event in the fall for the charity.

Kids Kicking Cancer is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to using martial arts therapy to empower and ease pain in children with cancer, sickle cell and other life threatening illnesses.
