Mind Your Christmas Tree to Prevent Disastrous Fires [VIDEO]

The Northville Township Fire Department demonstrates how quickly a Christmas tree can catch fire.

A dry Christmas tree is extremely flammable and could rapidly become a towering inferno in your living room. 

Firefighters from the Northville Township Fire Department showed a live demonstration Friday morning of how fast fire can engulf a dry Christmas tree.

Even in the damp air and drizzling rain, the dry Christmas tree went from a few flames to an engulfed mass of fire in less than a minute. A tree watered regularly will take longer to catch fire.
