Middle Eastern cuisine is healthier than you might think!  You may have tried one or two dishes at a restaurant and thought them delicious and unique but maybe too hard to do at home?  Not really!  Many of these healthy dishes are quickly made from fresh ingredients.

Well, why not try an ethnic night at home for some excitement!  Grains and fresh veggies are often easier to introduce to youngsters with these subtle spices.  Lots of pita bread and dips are a great way to have a fun self-serve meal on a busy night.  Best of all, these dishes can be prepared ahead.  Some ideas are of course, Hummus, Sweet Red Pepper Spread, Pickled Lamb Rolls, pretty-in-pink Turnips, olives and Syrian cheese.  Discovery is wonderful when it’s shared with the whole family!  www.sittoskitchen.com
