Why Should You Go to a Parenting Workshop?

I'm an avid reader of Seth Godin's blog.  He writes short, helpful posts about being an entrepreneur.  When I got into doula work I did it because I love taking care of mothers and babies.  Little did I know then, that starting a doula business meant I had to become a business woman!

His advice today in The Opposite of Anxiety is to write a review of your own services.  Since my friend, Anja Dittmeier M.A. and I have just launched a new set of parenting workshops I thought a fake review of our upcoming class could be a helpful way for others to learn about the workshops and for me to share what I hope parents will get out of the class.

So here it is a (p)review of our upcoming Parenting From the Heart - a S.A.F.E.® Parenting Workshop...
Jill and Anja I wanted to take a moment to share how much Parenting From the Heart helped me on my journey to becoming a parent.  I began the workshop when I was in my 5th month of pregnancy.  I was getting so much information from the people in my life I was feeling confused about parenting before I even began.  When I heard about your class at Peaceful Birthing in Rochester, MI, I was thrilled to learn more about parenting.  I have been around kids my whole life as an aunt, cousin, and babysitter but I'm expecting my first baby and I want to do things differently for our new family.  I didn't realize that small changes in the way I interact with my baby could help her to be more self confident, more creative, less aggressive, more emphatic, have a longer attention span, show superior cognitive capability, and be better at handling difficult situations!  But more than all that I feel ready to be a mom.  I understand how to interact with my daughter to help her grow up to be an emotionally healthy woman.  I can't wait to take the postnatal version of the workshop!

There are two workshops, one for expecting parents near their 5th month of pregnancy.  The other is postnatal, meaning you have a child under 1 or are very near your due date.  I hope all this helps you decide if Parenting From the Heart is right for you.

I love to talk about what I do and share with expecting and seasoned parents.  Feel free to comment or connect with me in one of the many ways listed below.
