Eagles & Chieftans vs. Cancer

Local Basketball teams have a fundraising basketball day to raise awareness and money to battle cancer.

The Eisenhower Eagles and Utica Chieftans basketball teams battled each other today in an event held to raise awareness and money for the American Cancer Society. The freshman boys teams kicked off the event, and they were followed by the JV and Varsity boys and girls games.

Each of the players had custom ordered jerseys which saw half of the cost donated to the American Cancer Society. The jersey's each had a name on the back, of someone that has beaten cancer, is currently going through the battle, or lost their battle with cancer. Each of the players introduced themselves and mentioned the person(s) they were playing for.
