Turning Point’s annual Tara Grant race has raised more than $50,000 for victims of domestic violence. All the proceeds go toward helping women with the immediate needs of leaving an abusive home; gas money, clothing, food and shelter.

This year, the non-profit organization is hoping to raise at least another $10,000 with more than already 300 people registered for the race.

There is still time to register for the race on Active.com. The race entry fee is $25 per person and $30 if registered after Sept. 25, plus a $4 park entrance fee per vehicle.
