Hi Ho Hi Ho. . . It's off to Lansing I go!

Today I will be going to Lansing because I believe that my one voice, joined with many others, can make a difference! (My mother didn't call me, "Miss Ironing Board" for nothing!)

When I was young, my mother used to call me, "Miss Ironing Board."  (Creative title for a determined, stubborn child.)   And I clearly remember telling her as a teen, "One day I am going to make a positive difference in this world!"

As you can imagine, I've supported many causes since that time.  But there is none more pressing on my heart at this very moment than opposing the passage of Right to Work!  I will never believe Right to Work is in the best interest of the working families in Michigan.

  • Earn $5,538 less per year
  • Spend $2,671 less per pupil

 

According to recent polls, only 6% of the citizens in Michigan want Right to Work legislation to be approved.  This is a very serious decision and one that will change the direction of Michigan for decades.
