Police Issues Ticket to Driver who was Rear-Ended in Shelby Township

Drivers Beware!  A recent review of traffic accidents in Shelby Township brought to light an interesting fact.  Did you know that police officers can ticket you for being rear-ended?  A Shelby Township police officer recently set ticket writing precedent by NOT citing the distracted driver who rear-ended a vehicle, but instead ticketed the driver of the vehicle who was struck from behind.  The driver who was hit received an "impeding traffic" for attempting to get into a shared left turn lane, just not as fast as the hurried driver of the car behind.  It seems it's all about who you know, not only in the courtroom (we all know about ticket fixing!) but on the streets too.
