2-Year-Old Dead After Being Left Alone in Car

It happened Tuesday night in Shelby Township's Dequindre Estates Mobile Home Park.

Shelby Township Police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy who was left for hours unattended in an automobile parked in the Dequindre Estates Mobile Home Park.

Residents in an area on Hamlin and Dequindre roads found the boy shortly after 6 p.m. on Tuesday and called 911, according to a report in the Macomb Daily. The township's emergency medical service and police responded and rushed the boy to Troy Beaumont Hospital where the boy was pronounced dead.

Police said that more details would be announced on Wednesday afternoon.
