Accident occurred on 24 Mile and Shelby Road on Monday afternoon.

A 38-year-old woman with her learners driving permit crashed into a Bank of America branch in Shelby Township on Monday afternoon, said Capt. Stephen Stanbury.

The woman and her father were in the car when it crashed through the bank window on the corner of 24 Mile and Shelby Roads around 4 p.m.

Stanbury said it's unclear how the woman ran into the window, because she was in the north end of the parking lot before the crash.
