Utica police arrested a Chesterfield Township man Wednesday on suspicion of stealing two iPods from on Hall Road.

Police said they were called by the store's loss prevention department around 9:50 p.m. on a report that a man had just walked out the front door with two $399 iPods in his pocket.

A officer stopped a man, later identified as Val Bond, before he entered his vehicle in the parking lot and asked if he had anything on him that was stolen.

According to the report, Bond admitted to stealing the two iPods inside. He also had plastic shucks in his vehicle that are often used to open containers that store high-end electronics.

Inside of Bond's vehicle, officers found another iPod, which he later confessed to stealing from the Chesterfield Township Best Buy, and a $600 leather jacket with cut tags, according to a police report. Bond told police he bought the plastic shucks and the leather jacket from a man in Detroit.
