iPod, GPS Stolen From Vehicle

 An iPod and a GPS were stolen from a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a home on Hawkins Court on March 31.

The owner of the vehicle told police that when he came out of his home, he noticed the electronics were missing from his vehicle.

Police said there were no signs of forced entry. The case was closed due to lack of suspects.

Utica

Women’s Purse Stolen at Sam’s Club

A woman who forgot her purse inside of a shopping cart on April 6, came back five minutes later to find it gone.

The woman said she left her purse in the cart while she loaded her groceries, and on accident, she drove away.  She quickly realized she forgot her purse and when she returned, the cart was still in the parking lot, but the purse was gone.

Police reviewed surveillance of the parking lot, but due to the poor quality, and camera position, they were not able to determine who took the woman’s purse.

The woman was able to cancel her credit cards before any fraudulent charges were made.

The case was closed due to lack of leads.

Police Search for Breakfast Sandwich Thief

The Utica police said a man stole a $1.79 breakfast sandwich from the on Hall Road on April 5.

A gas station employee reported the theft just before 1 p.m.  The attendant said the thief was a white man, in his late 20s or early 30s and was wearing a Detroit Tigers baseball hat, with a hooded jacket with gray stripes down the arms, dark jeans and white sneakers.

Surveillance cameras captured the man grab the breakfast sandwich, go into the restroom and exit the store.

Business Window Smashed-In

An object was hurled through a double pane glass window at Suburban Turf Management on 6900 Greeley St. on March 31.

Police were not able to determine what the object was, but it shattered the entire windowpane on the front side of the building.

iPad Stolen From Vehicle in Coney Island Parking Lot

A man told police his iPad and the case were stolen out of his vehicle on March 26 sometime after 12:30 p.m. while he ate lunch at .

The victim said the iPad was valued at $879 and the case is valued at $133.

He said he thought the vehicle was locked, but there were no signs of forced entry.

The case was closed due to lack of witnesses.
