All sales are final and must be paid in full the day of the auction. All purchased vehicles must be removed from the township’s lot within three days.

The police department holds the annual auction to dispose of township property, unclaimed, stolen or recovered property either through drug or drunk-driving forfeiture.

Vicky Dribula, Shelby police property clerk, said most of the auction proceeds will go to the township’s general fund and the remaining will go into the police department’s fund.

All participants must register with the auctioneer prior to the start of the auction. Registration opens at 9 a.m. and the bidding will start at 9:30 a.m.  The lot will open at 8 a.m. for anyone who wants to review the items before the auction.
