I was one who called 911. So bizarre to see him in the road, with other cars swerving around him. I wish him well. Waiting for more details to surface.

There were no vehicles stopped like he had been hit? He was just lying there?

There was a semi truck that was coming to an abrupt stop just north of the 26 Mile Rd overpass. There was no one else on the northbound side stopping. I saw at least two, maybe three other vehicles swerve at the last minute to avoid hitting him while he was in the road. When I was returning through the area on the way back from metro airport, the semi was still parked there.

I was one of the first cars directed off the highway at 26 mile. I've been trying to find out what happened ever since and finally found this link. I thought maybe someone jumped off the overpass, but I couldn't tell. Based on the extended investigation, I thought it was a fatality. I hope he is okay.

I heard the man had jumped from the overpass and was hit by the semi. I drove by the area yesterday around 2:30, and the semi was still parked on M-53. The person I heard this from heard it on the police scanner, but I still hesitate to claim that it is the truth, seeing as the information given to police is not always accurate.

That is crazy that he is still alive. My mom and aunt were 2 cars behind and said he was mangled! As in leg up behind head and arm wrapped behind him with blood covering his head. They didn't see what happened either and this is still the only article re it... so I guess it will remain a mystery.
