Pharmacy in Washington Township Robbed for Drugs

It happened at the Cornerstone Medical Group building on Van Dyke Avenue.

Macomb County Sheriffs deputies and detectives are searching for a man believed to be responsible for robbing a pharmacy in Washington Township.

According to a press release, the man held up a female customer at the Cornerstone Medical Group building (64580 Van Dyke Ave.) at about 11:47 a.m. on Friday.

He held a knife in his right hand and pointed toward's the woman's midsection, demanding Vicodin from a pharmacist. After receiving a bottle, the man fled the pharmacy in a a gold or champagne-colored older-model Ford Explorer.

He is described as approximately 6 feet tall, and “heavy-set”, perhaps 250 lbs. The man is approximately 30 years of age and was wearing khaki-colored shorts and a white shirt. He had on a black knit cap and he had a dark-colored scarf covering part of his face.

The knife was only described as having a wooden handle.
