Report: Man Hit on Head and Robbed at Gunpoint in Shelby Township

A man told police he was hit in the head and robbed at gunpoint last week at the Shelby Courts Apartments.

A man told police he was hit on the head and robbed at gunpoint on Aug. 31 at the Shelby Court Apartments.

According to the police report, the incident happened on Shelby Road just after 4 p.m. The victim told police he was walking along Shelby Road when he was hit in the head by a man and robbed of $40.

The victim described his attacker at a white man, about 6 feet 1 inches tall and wearing a blue hoodie, jeans and white tennis shoes.

The Shelby Township police had set up a permiter in the area and used police dogs to track the attacker. The search was terminated and the case closed due to a lack of leads.
