Search to ID Body Parts Found in Oakland-Macomb Sewer Line Continues

Police say the body parts belong to two different people and could have entered the sewer line anywhere north of where they were discovered in Sterling Heights and Warren.

Police say they are now working to discover the identity of two women whose remains were found in separate locations along a Macomb County sewer line last year.

The first discovery was made in August when several tattooed body parts (reproduction pictured) were found in the line along 15 Mile in Sterling Heights. Four months later, more remains were discovered in the sewer north of 10 Mile between Schoenherr and Hoover in Warren, according to The Detroit Free Press.

Both locations are part of the Oakland Macomb Interceptor, which starts at 24 Mile and Dequindre roads in Rochester Hills and flows through Shelby Township, Sterling Heights and Warren, ending in Detroit.
