2-Year-Old Falls From Second Story Window

The Shelby Township police were called to a home on Auburn and Dequindre roads to assist EMS after a report that a child fell from a second-story window.

The child’s mother said she had opened the windows of her home on April 10 to air out the home. Shortly after, she heard her boyfriend scream that her daughter had fallen out of the window.

The child landed on her back on the cement porch, next to a bush, police said. The screen was on the porch when officers arrived.

The child was conscious and moving. There is no word on the child’s condition.

Quick Change Artists Tricks Dunkin Donuts Employee

On April 11, police said a man tricked a Dunkin Donuts employee out of nearly $50.

The man purchased a 49-cent coffee and paid with a $50 bill. The clerk gave the man $49.06 in change. The man than told the clerk that he had only given her a $5 bill, not $50.

The man gave the clerk the change back and then asked for the $50 back.

At the end of the transaction, the drawer was $49.93 short.

Shortly after, police said another short change attempt was reported at Arby’s, but the attempt was not successful.

The suspect was last seen walking to Taco Bell.

He was described as white, about 40 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds.
