Body of Missing Kayaker Found

Oliver Woodrow Dixon III went missing Thursday, according to reports.

Update: Police have told the Macomb Daily that the body of Oliver Woodrow Dixon III has been found, still in his kayak, underneath a log jam on the Clinton River in Shelby Township.

According to the article, his body was located under the kayak at 5 p.m Sunday.

"Our hearts are breaking,” Shelby Township police Sgt. Scott Trumbo told the Macomb Daily.

Sunday 11 a.m.: Police are looking for a 47-year-old father who went missing while kayaking on the Clinton River in Shelby Township. 

According to a report from WXYZ-TV, Dixon Parked his vehicle at the River Bends Boat Launch on Thursday with the intention to kayak to Heritage Park in Utica. 

There have been no signs of Dixon's blue and white kayak. 

Dixon is described as 6 feet tall and 190 pounds with gray hair. He was wearing a red life jacket and black shorts.
