Shelby Township Woman Dies After Car Accident on Rochester Road
Driver lost control on snowy road and slid into oncoming traffic, Oakland County Sheriff's Office says.
A 20-year-old Shelby Township woman died this morning from injuries sustained in a Sunday morning car accident on Rochester Road just north of Gunn Road, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office reported.
According to an Oakland County Sheriff’s Office report, Jessica Emily-Evadene St. Amour was driving northbound on Rochester Road in her Chevrolet Lumina about 8:50 a.m. Sunday and lost control of the vehicle due to snow on the road. Her vehicle started to slide sideways, according to the report, and her passenger side was struck by a Pontiac G6 traveling southbound after St. Amour crossed into the oncoming lane.
St. Amour was airlifted to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak by the University of Michigan Survival Flight Team and died from injuries around 6 a.m. Monday.

A 51-year-old Orion Township resident who was driving the Pontiac G6 was taken to Troy's Beaumont Hospital and was in stable condition, according to the report.
Alcohol didn’t appear to be a factor and both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, the report stated.The accident remains under investigation.
