Sheriff's Office Investigating Reported Assault on Shelby Township Teen

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is investigating the report of an assault on a teenage girl from Shelby Township.
The teen reported the assault at approximately 6:18 p.m. March 17 from a parking lot in the area of Van Dyke and 30 Mile Road in Washington Township, according to the sheriff's office.
The victim was transported by family to a local hospital for treatment. The sheriff's office is continuing its investigation and is not releasing further details regarding the assualt or the victim's identity at this time.
