Sheriff Trying to ID Young Woman Found Dead in Washington Township Parking Lot

The body of an unidentified woman was found Sunday morning in a Washington Township Parking Lot.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of a young woman found early Sunday morning in Washington Township.

A motorist discovered the woman's body in the parking lot of the Washington Trailer Park, in the area of Van Dyke Avenue, just south of 28 Mile Road around 8:15 a.m. 

The Sheriff's Department said in a press release that details on the woman's death are limited, but they beleive she may have been struck by a vehicle overnight.

The department is looking for tips from anyone who was in the area in the last 12 hours and may have noticed something suspicious.

Also, the victim's identity remains unknown at this time.

"We are asking for the public's help in identifying the victim," the Sheriff's Department said in a press release.

Description of Victim

  • Female between 25-35 years of age
  • 5’2’ in height and weight around 120 lbs
  • Wearing blue jeans, tan shirt, brown leather jacket, white scarf
  • The victim was wearing a ring and each of her ring finger
