Shot Fired at Shelby Township Apartment Complex Injures One

Police say one person was critically wounded Monday morning at an apartment complex near 25 Mile and Van Dyke.

One person was shot Monday morning at a Shelby Township apartment complex near 25 Mile and Van Dyke, according to police.

The incident took place at around 7:15 a.m. Monday, police say.

Chief Roland Woelkers said the condition of the victim is "critical." He is being treated at a nearby hospital.

The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation. Woelkers said Shelby Township officers are still interviewing residents at the complex, which has not been named.

Police are not releasing any additional information about the victim at this time.
