Brusseau-Meray does not face charges in connection with the church robbery.

He and his attorney were unsuccessful in their request to Judge Douglas Shepherd to have his $10,000 bond lowered.

"I am not a bad person. I am not a criminal or flight risk," said Brusseau-Meray, who asked to be placed on a tether. "I ask you to reconsider. I need to be with my family right now to get back on the right track."

Shepherd denied the request, but did refer to the case to Macomb County Community Corrections for further review.
