Thief Runs Out Of Utica Justice For Girls Store

A shopper at in Utica ran out of the store Friday morning without paying for a handful of clothing valued at $157.
The incident took place shortly after the store opened when the would-be thief gathered several pieces of clothing from around the store and asked a clerk to place some items behind the register. As she continued to shop, she then asked the clerk for a pair of sandals from the back.
With one clerk checking for sandals and the other on the phone, the thief quickly ran out the front door with a handful of clothing. When the clerk heard the door bell chime and ran out to look, the woman was already out of site.

The thief is described as white, 5’6, 160 pounds and was wearing a long black dress. She had dark hair and a tattoo over her left breast. She left the store with three studded tank tops, worth $13 each; three pairs of $16 shorts; and three t-shirts, valued at $16-$18.
