Two Die in Shelby Township Crash
The crash shut down southbound lanes of M-53, also known as the Van Dyke Expressway, as police investigated the accident.
Two people were killed after their vehicle veered off southbound M-53 into a wooded area late Wednesday night in Shelby Township, according to Channel 7.
The freeway was closed for a couple hours as police worked the scene, where the individuals were pronounced dead, the television station reports.
Shelby Township police said they are continuing to investigate the accident. The individuals' identities were not immediately released.
