Utica Police Arrest 2 Accused of Selling Prescription Pills and Marijuana

The following information was supplied by the Utica Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A man and woman from Sterling Heights were arrested on Tuesday evening after found five ounces of marijuana and several dozen narcotic pills in their vehicle.

Police said the discovery was made when a Buick pulled out in front a police officer on Summer Street around 6 p.m. When the officer pulled over the 26-year-old female driver and her passenger, a 42-year-old man, they discovered the illegal drugs.

In addition to the marijuana, officers found 33 oxycodone pills, 40 hydrocodone, 1 alprazolam, a scale and cash.

Both were arrested and accused of selling marijuana and prescription drugs. The female also was accused of driving on a suspended license.
