Utica Police: Man Seen Stealing 'Grand Theft Auto' Video Games

Police seek charges for second-degree retail fraud, driving with a suspended license and marijuana possession.

A 52-year-old man from Flint was held by Utica Police pending $100 cash bond after witnesses said he took three copies of "Grand Theft Auto V" from Best Buy on Sept. 29.

Witnesses said that the man concealed the games in his coat and walked quickly through the store, becoming irate when confronted by management and driving away. Police stopped the man near Utica Park Blvd. and Hidden View Ct. 

In searching the man's car, police said they also found about five grams of marijuana. The man has two prior convictions for retail fraud, going back to 2009. Police seek charges for second-degree retail fraud, driving with a suspended license and marijuana possession.

The video games are valued at about $60 each ($180 total).
