A 17-year-old Eisenhower student had the scare of his life Tuesday morning when his car flipped over on 25 Mile Road after swerving to avoid a cat in the street.

Cody Bashaen said he was traveling west on 25 Mile Road toward Schoenherr Road when he saw a cat run out in front of his vehicle.

“I swerved to get away from a cat and once I got past the cat, the back of the car hit the dirt and it just went flying,” he said.
