Woman Found Dead in Shelby Township Creek

Township police said Wednesday they responded to the Spring Hill Apartment complex Tuesday evening.

A 41-year-old woman found face-down in a Shelby Township creek Tuesday evening may have suffered from a medical condition, police said Wednesday.

However, police are continuing to investigate her death, pending autopsy results, and are asking the public to contact them with information.

Investigators said they responded to the Spring Hill Apartment complex at West Utica and Mound Roads around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found a female in the creek between the buildings. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to township police.

Preliminary findings point to the possible medical condition, police said.
