MCC Rates Political Candidates Leman, Batchelder and Manzella as 'Well Qualified'
The Macomb County Chamber has released its evaluation of candidates running for office in the primary election on Aug. 7.
The Macomb County Chamber has announced its endorsements of Macomb County political candidates for the Aug. 7 primary elections.
The Chamber rated candidates as "well-qualified," "well-qualified-preferred," "qualified" and "minimally qualified" based on the candidate's responses to a questionnaire and interviews with the Chamber's Public Policy Committee and Board of Directors, according to the Chamber. The ratings are based on the candidate’s knowledge of issues relating to economic development, business environment and the future of Macomb County.
“Our evaluation process is truly bi-partisan,” said Grace Shore, CEO. “This process is not about party affiliation. Our committee looks for individuals with the skill set and innovation to move our state and county forward.”
