Because of Grot’s relentless promotion of the Clerk’s Office’s services and its friendly and courteous staff, and word of mouth advertising it became evident how easy and convenient it is to conduct business with the Clerk’s Office. The volume of passport processing has increased by over 400 percent in a 12-month period. The benefit for the Township is additional revenue generated to the general fund.

Increased passport processing was accomplished without any additional staff, overtime or additional resources or costs to the Clerk’s Office. Average applications take 20 minutes to be processed. All members of the Clerk’s Office are certified as Passport Acceptance Agents. “We are working as a team with one goal in mind—providing the best service at the least possible cost to the taxpayers,” said Grot who became Township Clerk in February of 2012.
