State Rep. Jeff Farrington and Newcomer Joseph Bogdan Advance to Nov. 6 Election

Republican incumbent Farrington and Democrat Bogdan's names will appear on the November ballot.

Republican incumbent Representative  and Democratic candidate will advance to the General Election on Nov. 6 for the 30th District House seat.

Farrington beat out Republican opponent M Shallal, by garnering 86.6% or 5,109 votes against Shallal's 775 votes or 13.2%.

"The outcome was well beyond what I was expecting. I was expecting victory. That was a pretty resounding victory," Farrington said.

Bogdan beat Democrat Nick Najjar for the spot; he received 59.9% or 2,202 votes against Najjar's 1,475 or 40.1%.

"I take nothing for granted but I feel confident. I won't let down my guard and I'll work hard to make sure people know what I stand for between now and November," said Farrington.

District 30 represents most of Utica, Sterling Heights and parts of Shelby Township.
