Who Will Lead Utica in Its 197th Year? Candidates Have 5 Months to Enter the Fray

The office of mayor and three city council seats are up for election this November in the City of Utica.

Leadership is due to shift once again this year in the City of Utica as the office of mayor and three city council seats come up for election in November.

Prospective candidates have until 4 p.m. Aug. 13 to file their nomination paperwork with the city clerk, according to the Macomb County Elections Division. As Utica will not have an August primary, all candidates who file for elected office within the city will appear on the November ballot.

The Nov. 5 election will see the council seats currently held by Russell Barthelmeh, William Osladil and Kenneth Sikora come up for election, along with that of Mayor Jacqueline K. Noonan.
