2 UCS Students Win Awards During Auto Show Design Contest
Two Utica Community Schools students' posters will displayed at the 2011 auto show Jan. 15-23.
Two students from the Utica Center for Science and Industry received top honors recently in the North American International Auto Show's annual design contest.
Senior Ryan Manauis earned two awards in the annual NAIAS poster contest: second place overall for 12th grade and the College for Creative Studies Award. He was awarded a cash gift of $500.
Senior Austin Rudisill earned the Best Use of Color award and earned a $250 cash prizes.

The 23rd annual contest highlighted designs by hundreds of area high school students in grades 10 through 12. Winning posters will be displayed at the 2011 auto show Jan. 15-23 and reproduced in the official NAIAS program.
The Utica Center for Science and Industry is a high school program housed at the Instructional Resources Center that encompasses three courses of study: Engineering Technology, Mechatronics - or the study of engineering disciplines to produce complex robotic devices- and Multi-Media Technology.
