Plan Your Child's Educational Future

Utica Community Schools will hold an Academic Blitz event Feb. 3 at Henry Ford II High School. The goal? To help parents craft a game plan for their child's education.

The Blitz is targeted to parents of students in sixth through tenth grades, but any parent who wants to make sure their child gets every educational advantage possible is invited to attend.

Parents will learn what programs and services are available to their children at UCS and beyond.

There will be a opening session for all and several breakout programs on financial aid, advanced placement offerings, special programs available to high school students, college opportunities for special education students and junior high school options in mathematics.

Informational booths will be set up so parents may meet with counselors and local college officials as well as learn about academic summer school options, specialized high school programs in UCS and college savings plans.
