For the Eagles this season, Lee serves as one of three senior captains and has contributed with two goals and six assists. She scored once and assisted twice this week against Macomb Area Conferernce Red Division competitors .

"Monika is a leader by example both at games and during practice," Eisenhower coach Mehrdad Nekoogar said. "What I like about her the most is that she always gives 100 percent. She is very competitive and vocal. She always leads the pregame warm-up and pep talk without me saying a word to her."

From the looks of it, Eisenhower still has a lot of soccer to play this spring, as the school hopes to advance deep into the state run. When the season is over, however, Lee is off to Loyola University in Chicago where she will continue her studies and soccer.
