Macomb Community College will offer classes on how to use social media to market small businesses.

Macomb Community College has announced it will offer a series of classes at its Warren campus designed to teach small business owners and entrepreneurs how to master the social media sphere to market their business. 

Macomb Community College's Workforce and Continuing Education Department will offer five classes that address various aspects of social media, and ways to incorporate them into a business marketing plan. The introductory class is one session and costs $29. Each of the other four courses cost $99.

Social Media 101 provides an introduction to social media and its value in developing a brand identity. The class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13.

Twitter for Business teaches how to create, edit and promote a Twitter account. The class is offered from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays from Sept. 20 through Oct. 4.

Facebook for Business teaches how to create a Facebook account and explores how to build and manage business campaigns online. The class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays from Oct. 11 through Oct. 25.

LinkedIn for Business explores how to structure an engaging LinkedIn profile to network with other business professionals. This class is offered from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays from Nov. 1 through Nov. 15.

Interactive Marketing teaches about social medial tools and strategies that help achieve top rankings on search engines' lists. The class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays from Nov. 29 through Dec. 13.

All classes are offered at the college's South Campus in Warren.
