Utica Looking to Recruit New Crossing Guard

The Utica police is looking for a new crossing guard to help safely guide students to school.

The Utica Police Department is looking to hire a new crossing guard who can start immediately and finish the remainder of the school year.

Chief Dave Faber told Patch the only requirement for the position is good moral character, judgement and ability to hold a stop sign.

The crossing guard is needed to work from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and then again in the afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Crossing guards are paid $12 an hour. Training will be provided by the Utica Police Department.

Applications can be picked up and dropped off at the Utica Police Department, located at 7550 Auburn Road.
