Local contractor’s national initiative will award free roofs to two deserving families in
Macomb and Oakland Counties

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI – The national No Roof Left Behind initiative founded by Ridgecon Construction is accepting nominations for its 2014 free roof giveaway at: www.ridgecon.com.
Members of the community in both Macomb and Oakland counties can submit nominees. Nominees must own the home they are living in and be a resident of Oakland or Macomb Counties. Also, the free roof recipient must be current on his/her mortgage payments. Nominees will be accepted until April 28, 2014. A team of local volunteers will review all the nominees and four will be selected as finalists.
The four finalists’ stories and photos will be displayed on Ridgecon Construction’s No Roof Left Behind homepage. From May 5- June 2, 2014 the public will able to vote on the finalist they feel is most deserving. The roof winner will be revealed online on June 9, 2014 and the installation celebration will be held shortly thereafter.
Ridgecon Construction owners the Elie family started the No Roof Left Behind Program five years ago as a way to give back. “We have been doing business in this community for more than 20 years. We wanted to find a way to show our neighbors how much we appreciate them as customers and fellow citizens, said Jay Elie, Ridgecon Construction. “The past few years have been challenging for many people in our region. We knew this was an area where we could do our part and also bring the community together.”
The program was met with such success that in 2012 Ridgecon opened up the opportunity for contractors across the country to participate within their own regions. More than 70 contractors nationwide and in Canada have joined the No Roof Left Behind movement. “It is an honor to see our fellow contractors embrace the spirit of this initiative across the country,” said Elie. “To be able to help homeowners throughout the US in this way is a great privilege for us and our colleagues.”
