Eisenhower Baseball Starts Strong

Local squads brave spotty weather conditions and season presses on for local teams.

The Macomb County spring break tournament pitted some of the top squads in the Macomb Area Conference against one another, and among these was Eisenhower High.

Ike turned in a very stellar performance and wrapped up pool play in the tourney a perfect 4-0—outscoring opponents 44-8 in their first four games. But the Eagles lost to eventual champion Cousino in single-elimination play.

As for this upcoming week, you can catch the ball club from Eisenhower on Wednesday at home against Ford II beginning at 4 p.m.

However, if there is a game to catch this week, it’s definitely Friday afternoon at . That’s when the Eagles from Ike soar into Utica High and square off with their rivals. The first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Baseball is not the only gig in town this week.

The softball team from Utica brings in Dakota Monday afternoon at 4 p.m., while the girls soccer teams from Ike and Utica square off Monday at Utica beginning at 6:30 p.m.
