Eisenhower, Dakota Battle in Big High School Football Game

Eagles and Cougars will meet Friday night in a showdown between the top two teams in the MAC Red Division.

Friday night’s high school football game between Dakota and provides big excitement.

The game, which kicks off at 7 p.m. at Swinehart Field, will feature the two top teams in the MAC Red Division. The winner will take sole possession of first place and hold the inside track for the league championship.

In addition, Eisenhower will celebrate its homecoming.

Dakota and Eisenhower are powerful programs led by successful coaches. The Eagles’ Bob Lantzy has won 298 games in his career, and Mike Giannone has led the Cougars to two state championships.

Once again, Lantzy and Giannone boast powerful teams.

Dakota has won five straight games since a season-opening loss at Muskegon. The Cougars are 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the MAC Red Division.

Eisenhower also is 5-1 and 3-0, and the Eagles have bounced back from a loss to Port Huron .
