Ecological Restoration Volunteer Workday at Stony Creek

Come lend nature and the Metroparks a hand. Volunteers will use hand saws and loppers to remove autumn olive and other invasive shrubs from the edges of the Stony Creek nature center prairie. Participants should meet at the nature center parking lot at 10 a.m. and the workday wraps up at 1 p.m. Park entry if free for volunteers, who are welcome to stick around and enjoy the park after the work.

Tools, gloves, water, and snacks will be provided. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing.  Please register with Becky Gajewski at becky.gajewski@metroparks.com or 810-227-2757 by Thursday, June 30.
