Ecological Restoration Volunteer Workday at Stony Creek

Lend nature a helping hand by volunteering to clear buckthorn, privet, and other invasive shrubs from forest and wetland areas at Stony Creek Metropark. Participants should meet at the Nature Center at 10 a.m. -- look for a white Metroparks truck -- and everyone will wrap it up by 1 p.m. Park entry is free for volunteers.

Tools, gloves, water, and snacks will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants, closed toe shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing.

Please register with Becky Gajewski by emailing her at becky.gajewski@metroparks.com or calling 810-227-2757 by Sept. 15.
