Freeze Your Fanny for a Good Cause

Bust out of those winter doldrums by getting some exercise for a good cause.

Stony Creek Metropark is the place to be Jan. 29, for the Freeze Your Fanny 5K Run or Walk. No matter the weather, this event is on. It starts at the park's boat launch warming building, where entrants will register from 9:45-1o:45 am. The 5K sprint starts at 11 am, and the walk begins five minutes after that.

Awards will be given to the top three male and female winners, and the results will be posted on www.runmichigan.com.

After the race/walk, everyone is welcome to gather for soup, hot chocolate and coffee in the warming building.

Cost is $10 if you register before Jan. 26; otherwise it's $12. Children under age 12 are free when accompanied with registered adult. Daily Park Vehicle entrance fee is $5 unless you have a Metropark  pass.
