What do you get when you take two great Halloween events like Shelby Parks & Recreation Department’s Boo Bash and Trunk or Treat and combine them into one? Boo-ya! A Spooktacular afternoon of fun for everyone!
Held outdoors rain or shine from Noon to 3:00 pm at River Bends Park on Saturday, October 13.
The fun begins with Trunk-or Treat from Noon to 1:30 pm. Costumed kids accompanied by a responsible adult go from trunk to trunk to collect candy and other goodies. To make it fair for all each family with participating children must also bring treats to pass out from their trunk. Decorating trunks is encouraged, but optional and gates will open at 10:30 am for parking and set-up. A prize will be awarded for “Best Decorated Trunk” contest.

From 1:00 to 3:00 pm kids can get into the “spirit” of the season with a Boo-rific Bouncer, Monster Midway with games operated by Eisenhower Key Club Volunteers, Fangtastic Fun Face Painting, Creepy Crafts, and Live Critters from the Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center
