Rustic Family Camping Weekend at Stony Creek

Stony Creek Metropark has a number of family-friendly camping weekends planned in summer and fall.

The campground will located in a grass field close to the  Baypoint Beach parking lot, just a short walk to the beach. A community bonfire will be lit each night, and Nature Center Interpreters will hold programs for the family in the campground on Saturday afternoon. Kids can also scale a climbing wall from noon-4 p.m. on Saturday during summer campout weekends. The October weekend will be Halloween-themed.    

Rustic campsites can be reserved for a $40 weekend fee. Park entry is separate. Campers will have 24-hour access to restrooms and water at the beach bathhouse. Tents, campers and motorhomes are allowed but there are no hookups (water or electricity) available at the campsites. Raised firepits or grills are allowed; ground fires are not permitted.

Make your reservations now to camp at Stony Creek Metropark’s special, rustic family camping weekends, Aug. 12-14, Sept. 9-11, and Oct. 7-9. Check-in time starts at noon on Friday; checkout is by 6 p.m. Sunday.
