"Teaching Our Traditions" Pow-Wow to Be Held in Brighton State Recreation Area

The Brighton State Recreation Area will host the 2011 All Nations Veterans Council's “Teaching our Traditions” Pow-Wow on May 21-22.
 
Pow-Wow hours are 10 a.m.-dusk on Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. The event features Native American dancing, music, crafts, dress ceremonies, two Grand Entry parades each day, vendors selling Native American foods and more.

Cost to attend the Pow-Wow is $5 for adults and children age 13 and older; $3 for seniors and children 12 or younger; and children under 5 are free. All events will take place at the Three Fires Group Organizational Campground inside the park.
 
Participants are reminded that this is an outdoor event, so bring lawn chairs or blankets for a long day of "GO-Get Outdoors" fun.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicles entering the park.
