The Eisenhower varsity football team will take on Warren Mott during the first game of the Div. 1 state championship playoffs.
The Sunday evening announcement came just days after the Eagles topped Warren Cousino 28-14 in the Oct. 19 home game.
Last year, Eisenhower lost to Detroit Cass Tech 6-3 in the Division 1 football state semifinals. The team ended with an 11-2 record.
So far, Eisenhower is holding tight to its 7-2 record.
The date and time of Eisenhower's first playoff game will be announced later this week, according to the MHSAA (Michigan High School Athletic Association).
Other local, first-round matchups include Clinton Township Chippewa Valley and Macomb Dakota.
